Heated Argument Over $4,600 Dinner Bill Goes Viral; Sparks Debate Over Who is Supposed to Pay the Bill

When invited to a gathering, who foots the bill? The invited or the invitee? These are questions that could lead to heated arguments if not pre-established. 

Some may opt to equally split the bill, while others may only pay for what they consumed and nothing more. Everyone has personal takes on this argument.

A $4,600 Check

A viral video on TikTok has gained a lot of attention. The video was posted by a popular TikToker, Viccgotti, whose real name is Victor Christian.

He shared this video, hoping to confirm that he was right. The video showed a couple of diners in a heated argument about a bill split. The bill in question was a whopping $4,600 in total.

A Brief Backstory

According to Viccgotti, the diners were invited for a birthday dinner, and afterward, they were asked to split the bill equally among the diners. However, he was unwilling to partake, firmly stating that he would only pay for what he consumed.

He and another diner opted to pay for only what they consumed, and he took to TikTok to understand if he did wrong. 

The Video Has Gained Over 13 Million Views

The video also showed one of the diners who said she shouldn’t have to pay as it was her birthday.

Viccgotti stood his ground, saying that since he and another attendee did not drink the expensive liquor ordered, they should be exempted from paying for it. The video has gained over 13 million views and 10,000 comments on TikTok.

Was It Real Or a Skit?

The video was also posted on Twitter. Many who had watched it were on Viccgotti’s side. They believed he should not be expected to pay for what he did not consume.
